Kim is a co-founder. There are well over 2,000 picture books in just one of her bookcases; she lends them freely and is continually moving them around to make room for more! Her backstory is in law and her passions are parenting and democratic education. She's an advocate for the benefits of families and communities. Kim's belief that telling and listening to stories is one of the most powerful tools we have in building and sustaining peace at home and in the community informs much of what she writes here. She has tested that idea over and over again with her six children and five grandchildren! She loves running, cooking and travelling—and she'd really like to be a good gardener!
